Care Assistant Nights

To provide high-quality, person-centred care to residents, promoting dignity, independence, privacy, and wellbeing at all times. The Care Assistant will support residents with their daily living activities while ensuring a safe, comfortable, and caring environment in accordance with the home's policies and procedures and Guernsey care standards.

Key Responsibilities

-Personal Care

Assist residents with washing, bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.

Support residents with toileting and continence care while maintaining dignity and respect.

Help residents with mobility, transfers, and repositioning using appropriate moving and handling techniques and equipment.

Assist residents with eating and drinking, encouraging independence wherever possible.

Health and Wellbeing

Observe residents' physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing and promptly report any changes to the nurse or senior care assistant.

Record care provided accurately and promptly in care documentation.

Support residents to attend medical appointments and activities as required.

Assist with monitoring food and fluid intake where appropriate.
