Barista

Key Responsibilities: Prepare and serve high-quality specialty coffee and hot beverages according to established recipes and presentation standards. Prepare espresso-based beverages including espresso, Americano, cappuccino, latte, flat white, macchiato, mocha, and other specialty drinks. Prepare and execute signature hot drinks, including seasonal and creative beverage recipes. Create and maintain high-quality latte art where required. Demonstrate strong knowledge of espresso extraction, milk steaming, texturing, and temperature control. Produce consistent and high-quality drinks while maintaining appropriate speed during busy service periods. Prepare specialty teas, hot chocolate, chai, matcha, and other non-coffee hot beverages as required. Follow standard recipes, portion sizes, preparation methods, and presentation guidelines. Maintain a clean, organised, and fully stocked barista station throughout service. Operate and care for espresso machines, grinders, brewing equipment, and other beverage equipment correctly. Carry out daily opening and closing procedures, including equipment cleaning and calibration. Monitor coffee, milk, syrups, garnishes, cups, and other beverage supplies and communicate replenishment requirements. Minimise product waste while maintaining quality and consistency. Follow all food safety, hygiene, health, and safety procedures. Ensure all beverages are presented according to the concept's quality and aesthetic standards. Work closely with the service and kitchen teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Assist with the development and testing of new specialty beverages and seasonal drink menus when required. Maintain a professional appearance, positive attitude, and high level of personal hygiene at all times.
